How to Transfer Existing Service or Request New Service Connection |

Transfer of EXISTING Service
|

|
Water service and payment responsibility transfers with OWNERSHIP of the property. Water service will not be put in the name of or billed to a tenant. Bocilla Utilities does NOT do final readings, final bills or partial month billings. Therefore, when buying or selling a property, be sure to handle any pro-rations and outstanding balances at time of sale. Please contact our office and we will be happy to provide a current statement of the account for closing.
To transfer existing service, prior to closing, please complete the Water Service Transfer. Once completed, please print the document; have signed by all parties where indicated, and return to Bocilla Utilities by either:

The transfer will become effective with the next billing cycle after the sale and new ownership is confirmed, and the fully executed document is received.

Water service is available to all lots on the Island, and per The Code of Laws and Ordinances, Charlotte County, Florida Section 3-8-42, all properties must be connected to and supplied by the available private potable water distribution system when service is needed.
To request a new service connection, and to have a meter placed by Bocilla Utilities, please complete, print and sign the Water Service Agreement. Once fully executed, please return with payment in the amount of $3,103.31, made payable to Bocilla Utilities, Inc. by either:

Service connection with meter placement will be scheduled as soon as all properly executed documents are received, and funds have cleared.
